For all prospective new parents of our school - please note that we do not hold open days or open evenings to view the school but if you are interested in viewing the school, please call the school office where you can book an appointment to be given a tour. 01268 735329.

School uniform

Our new supplier is Emblem Group. Their shop is on The Broadway. The link below is to their website where our uniform will appear soon.

Great to see parents in school!

It has been great to see so many parents in school to share lunch with their chidren and to come in for the parent reading sessions. If anyone has another idea for how we can involve parents in the life of the school please send us an email so we can consider it.

Dinner Money

Please send your dinner money in on a Monday for the whole week. Cheques are preferred. If you pay by cash please send the correct amount. Thanks.

If parents want to find out how to make sure their children are safe online there are some useful websites.
www.safekids.co.uk has lots of information, including information on safe search engines and other topics.

Runwell is top school!

The Primary School KS2 Performance Tables have now been published and we are sure you will be delighted to know that Runwell is once again the top school in Wickford. There are 6 measures of performance and Runwell was the top school in 5 of these and second in the other one. Thank you to all staff for their outstanding commitment and to all parents for your continued support. We make a great team!

Another great site is www.thinkuknow.co.uk . Here you can find out what’s good, what’s not and what you can do about it. There's an area for parents too with resources you can use at home.

Finally ParentPort is a site where you can complain about things you might hear or see on TV, in the shops, or on the Internet that you think are unsuitable for your child. It's new so take a look.

Christmas DVDs

At last Mr. Crook has overcome the technical problems that have prevented the making of DVDs. These have all now been completed and distributed. Don't know what we're going to do about Mr. Crook's hair, which is now grey after the struggle he's had making these DVDs!

Wednesdays - Tarkan's Tennis club (7.45-8.45am), Nicky Page musical instrument tuition, Cricket club, Ms Phillips Music Club. Tarkan's Football club (3.15pm-4.15pm), Sarah's Gymnastics club (Infants - 3.30pm-4.30pm / Juniors - 4.45pm-5.45pm).
Thursdays - Jack's Girls Football club (7.45am-8.45am), 11+ club, Board Games club, ICT club, Dance club
Fridays - Y5 swimming 9.15am, Guitar club, Choir club, Football club.
For all external clubs (fees payable) you will need to liaise directly with the club organiser (Tarkan, Tony, Nicky, Sarah, Jack)
All clubs run by school staff (internal clubs) finish at 4pm
